4 Quick Checks Before You Get a Hair Cut

Before you get a cut, take 10 seconds to check:

1. Clean floor - No piles of old hair. Shows they sweep between clients.

2. Sterilizing/UV cabinet - Tools should go in there after each use to kill bacteria/fungus.

3. Clean clippers + combs - No hair stuck in them, no rust. Blades should look wiped down.

4. Fresh gown/towel - Should be clean, not reused from the last guy.

Why it matters: Barbershops can spread skin, scalp, and nail infections if tools aren’t sterilized. Parasites, ringworm, and bacteria don’t care how good the fade is.

Skip the shop if they don’t! 💈💇‍♂️🚫💔😷

Causes for hair breakage:

1. Extreme tension during braiding or plaiting

2. Frequent heat treatment - tongs

3. Tight rollers - when setting

4. Chemicals •over processing •over neutralizing

(a) when hair is bleached, it is not tinting or dyeing hair. It is color removal i.e the natural hair color is stripped. hair is weakened
(b) when hair is tinted/dyed, dye particles are deposited into the hair

So opt for these services wisely. openly and honestly consult with your hair stylist
