The first picture takes us back 16 years ago to our wedding day. The second shows us today in 2026. You can tell a story by merely looking.Today, I want to speak directly to men.God's desire is for the husband to love his wife unconditionally .This can be done through cherishing and adorning her. Scripture supports this truth as highlighted in Ephesians 5:28–29:"In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church."
Even when a woman is completely capable of taking care of herself, there is a distinct beauty when her husband makes effort to treat her well. This spans every detail, from her hair and wardrobe to her emotional well-being and peace of mind.Gentlemen, if you do not yet know how to care for your spouse in the specific way she needs, invest in knowledge. Genuine love requires continuous learning, unlearning old habits, and actively seeking wisdom. As Proverbs 24:3–4 reminds us:"By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established; through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures."
I want to ask a question to the men:
What is one habit or mindset you need to unlearn in order to love your wife better?
Ministry is my happy place. When I am not sharing about marriages, my other area of passion is preaching hope to the people of God. What do you do in the house of God?
