Freddie Jackson, the Grammy-nominated R&B singer whose smooth vocals helped define a generation of love songs, died Monday, October 5, just three days after celebrating his 70th birthday. Jackson was born October 2, 1956, in Harlem, New York. His family announced his passing Tuesday through a statement shared on his official Instagram account.
