This is a sauna I remember visiting often growing up.
My dad would bring me and my brother’s here, sometimes after a day spent around “the farm” at Grandma and Grandpa’s, hanging out at the shack, splitting firewood or deer hunting. We’d sit in the heat listening to stories from grandpa, dad, uncles and cousins.
Being back here tonight with friends and family brought a lot of those memories flooding back.
That’s a big part of why we love building saunas at Northern Steam. A sauna has never been just a place to get hot it’s where people slow down, tell stories, laugh and reconnect.
We’re not just building saunas. We’re building places where families can make memories of their own for generations to come!
Another Northern Steam sauna right at home in Maple Lake, Minnesota. 🔥
John chose one of our Tuli models, customized to complement his home and backyard. In this video, he shares what the process was like from the first conversation through delivery, and ultimately what gave him the confidence to move forward with Northern Steam.
For us, it’s about more than building a great sauna. It’s making sure our customers feel confident in the design, understand what they’re getting, and have a team they can trust throughout the entire project.
We appreciate John trusting us with his project and we love how this one turned out.

Nothing speaks louder than hearing it directly from the customer.
JP in Chaska, MN shares his experience working with Northern Steam from the initial conversations and helping him work through the design, to our knowledge of traditional sauna and the entire on-site construction process.
One thing we really appreciated hearing was his feedback on our crew and how tidy, meticulous, and respectful they were while building right at his home.
JP’s advice to anyone researching a sauna: reach out to Northern Steam, have the conversation, and get our opinion before making your decision.
We’re proud of how this project turned out and even more proud to have another happy sauna owner here in Minnesota.
Thanks again for trusting us with the project, JP!

Sauna’s heating. Fire pit’s rolling. Pool’s looking way too inviting. 🔥
This is what a Minnesota backyard is supposed to look like.
Hot sauna → cold plunge → fire → repeat.
