Join us for this workshop to learn more about what special education is, how to make sure your child receives the services they need to succeed in school, and ways you can become more involved. Are you a professional language interpreter in Minnesota schools? Explore how you can better support parents and families of children with disabilities who are English language learners at our in-person training this month! Participants will learn about language access laws, strategies to support parent engagement in special education meetings, and ethical considerations to make when interpreting for parents and school staff.

Upcoming in-person employment training series for families of transition-aged youth in greater MN!

This fall, PACER, along with staff from MN CareerForce youth programs, will host free in-person career planning trainings geared toward parents and families of youth with disabilities ages 14 - 24. Attendees will learn about the importance of work and career development and explore employment services and supports. They will also walk away with tips to help their youth begin their own career path! To learn the 12 training locations and to register, visit pacer.org/workshops.
